I do not charge for services (haven't yet since I went independent), and apparently won't since  the city of LA is poised to request a business license, and I can't imagine making enough to pay the fees.

My name is Rev. Kristal Rose Phoenix McKinstry, metaphysical counselor and techno-slut-art-angel. I have been engaged in metaphysical studies as long as I can remember, but have been many flavors of pioneering engineer and artist along the way. I started tarot at age 16, 21 years ago. I now live near Venice Beach, California USA. I had a overnight kundalini awakening to the spanda-karika in 1989 and since then have been exploring many realms of consciousness and recombinant realities. I was raised by a Baptist minister who taught me Native American wisdom, Hinduism, Egyptology, & Christianity teachings before he became a Zen Buddhist monk.  my mom taught me Alchemy & Edgar Cayce stuff, especially dream work, psychism, and lost culture vision. By the time I had reached age 8, I had read the library's engineering section and was shown how to make many light, sound, & lightning devices. My birth name was Thor André Clemens (Thor Andrahanari Solomon?). At age 5  I wanted to be the next Disney and studied all the arts and sciences from perfumery to architecture till deciding upon my eventual career in software engineering. I did concours restoration of Citroëns (a spacey breed of french car) for a decade while having a wonderful hippie marriage & 2 kids in Santa Cruz, CA. As a kid I could telepathically communicate with dogs and affect dice. I now engage somewhat in spiritual engineering and directing global karma. My first reading was for a girl I didn't know at all. I was able to tell her without questions how she was seeing a second boyfriend and her parents wanted her to go back entirely to the first. From then on I have found that there are infinite layers of meaning to the Tarot as my life progresses. I am often telempathic against my desire, which is to say I often experience the internal condition of others when I'd rather not.

I may have pioneered the 'free-form' layout when younger. It is a method in which the cards suggest structure and branching paths in ones life. It's much like creating a circuit diagram of your life then putting test probes at junctions. On a down day, I will rely somewhat on the traditional meanings of the cards, otherwise my intuition will key into a particular aspect of the card. I also immerse my being in your life. Where normally I would channel the radio & sounds as my guide or reflection I would have them describe you. In more important work, I will either make astral visits to you or 'download' your perception of reality. Immersion in other's realities is seldom fun; People almost always have a delusion of being separate from god. My motives in order are self-knowledge, compassion, intrigue/awe/delight, & pride.

The tarot (pronounced terr-oh) arrived in western culture after the crusaders ransacked the priests libraries. The symbolism primarily corresponds to the kaballah of Jewish priests. It can even be related to the 21 gates in the Egyptian book of the dead. It serves as a map for everything from personal & global maps of emotional and spiritual evolution to blueprints for the phoenix ben-ben stone - arc of the covenant - philosophers stone - holy grail - hyperdimensional nanomolecular thought-matter resonator. Ask the Chaldean vimana pilots; the Van Allen radiation belts of Mars have been depleted intentionally. A warning. The romans almost had the industrial revolution. A greek had already invented the piston and steam jet propulsion. Particle physics is on the verge of turning matter into a cartoon. So it is suitable that in my own deck (seen above), inspired by famous modern art works of the cubist, surreal, pop, & metaphysical variety, that Theodore Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss left his mark.

Communication methods

Telephone - my preference because I can communicate so much more during the time allotted.
ICQ - recommended if you want an interactive session and a free transcript, but costs more time.
E-Mail - Not recommended because I would be unable to choose which areas you desire more clarification in.

I don't require that you either submit any questions or even have any. I prefer to psychically diagnose your more serious priorities myself. You might have some specific questions in mind though for the creature comfort of your ego. Do whatever sets your mind at ease. A candlelight bath or dancing to the radio helps me. Take a lofty view of your life. Actually contact me before your preparation, not just leave an email, and inform me if any issues need resolved. Make sure I already have your client info. I too, need to psyche up for a reading. I don't work under pressure and like to casually channel your issues before actually doing a reading.

My free program requires a hi-res monitor setting, and better sites exist for free automated divination (See Bookmarks | Mind Expansion | Tarot), but it does use the minor arcana of my own deck. It provides a full screen 'Celtic Cross' reading, but no text. My high school dreams of integrating tarot, knowledge bases, artificial intelligence, occult intervention in technology, and the manifestation of particle reality into some sort of sorcerer's apprentice 'software' are fast becoming realized. Here is a summary of what seemed possible with existing technology some years ago. I've thought better since then, and instead will focus on person to person readings. To facilitate that, I am still heading towards creation of an interactive web site so clients may watch their readings take place. It may evolve towards immersive VR. But then, that's what we live in already.
